A couple of scenes from the school concert. Children played the recorder, there
were duets on the piano, singing, and lots of exciting and colourful dances.

Lake Valence (very close to the school)!
Sights of Budapest
These are some pictures taken when we were shown around Budapest. It is a beautiful
city, split in two by the River Danube. On one side of the river used to be
Buda and on the
other
Pest. When bridges joined these cities together it became known as BUDAPEST.
Mrs. McConnell standing in front of one of the 7 bridges spanning the
River Danube in Budapest. This bridge is called the Elizabeth Bridge.
This is a beautiful church in the centre of
Budapest. There is a huge square in front of
it. There is a dome built on top of the church.
This is a picture of the dome from inside
the church. The red marble you can see
in the dome was brought from Italy.
Part of the panoramic view from
high above Budapest. The
Hungarian Houses of Parliament are
on the far side of the River Danube.
The Comenius group taking a short
rest in the middle of their tour of
Budapest. Our English speaking guide
is the lady on the right of the picture.
If you look very closely you will see the
temperature in Budapest during our visit!
YES, you are seeing correctly - it was 40
degrees celcius - VERY HOT indeed!
This is a view of the Hungarian Royal
Palace. THere is no longer a
monarchy in Hungary, but the Palace
is still a very beautiful building.
Sunset on the Danube! Gorgeous!
Mrs. McConnell, our German friends, and myself, would like to thank the Hungarian
Principal and teachers for a most informative and interesting visit to their school,
also being given the opportunity to learn lots about the culture of their country.
