RECOLAPHONES |
A group of children from Room 7 gave up part of their half term holiday to perform in a BBC programme, playing the recolaphones. The recolaphones are made out of empty 2 litre plastic bottles with air then pumped into the capped bottle to give a certain note. Isn't it amazing how an old plastic bottle can be reused? |
Concentration on the memory game using the interactive whiteboard. On the way to creating a new class record! |
Matching Pairs using the interactive whiteboard. Requires both speed and concentration! |
Can You Park the Roamer? |
"Can you take the Roamer for a journey and then park it under a chair?" This was the task given to some of the children in room 7 as they practiced working with angles and estimating distance, using Valiant Roamers. The children worked in groups of three to complete the task - a "scribe", a "walker" and a "programmer". |
Pictures showing the children working collaboratively to find various ways to park the Roamer under a seat. It's important that all three people work together so that a solution may be found! |
Science at Antrim Grammar School |
45 children from Primary 7 travelled to Antrim Grammar School on January 12th. They spent the day investigating and designing various Science activities. A great day was had by all and, of course, lots was learned! Thank you very much to Antrim Grammar for hosting this most interesting day. |
