8 Times Rap

Eight times one is eight,
Come to school and don't be late.

Eight times two makes sixteen,
Make sure in school you don't daydream.

Eight times three equals twenty-four,
Don't forget your tables anymore.

Eight times four makes thirty-two,
No need to be put off if something is new.

Eight times five is forty,
Finished your work? Read a story.

Eight times six equals forty-eight,
Go outside and roller skate.

Eight sevens are fifty-six,
Come and join us in P6.

Eight times eight equals sixty-four,
Come on in and learn some more.

Eight nines are seventy-two,
Look at the teacher when she's helping you.

Eight times ten equal eighty,
Make sure you know you're tables, matey!

This is a poem our pupils made up about our 8 times tables. We learned this poem as our
contribution towards the sponsorship for Bridge Orphans.....
Rockets
We worked in teams to design and build roll tube rockets. Compressed air was used as the
energy source to launch the rockets. Rockets were modified to improve their performance.
Space Explorers
P6 have been taking part in the STEM project - Space Explorers. Each team designed and
built a Mars Rover and completed a mission logbook.
The teams undertook a number of tasks in the final challenge day at Antrim Grammar School
including a Speed Test, Off Road Challenge and Space Workshop
Sentinus - Robotics Day
Pupils from P6 went to Antrim Board Centre to take part in a Sentinus Challenge Day. They
programmed robotics to complete a track. Technology students from Antrim Grammar
School acted as mentors to our [pupils in the challenge.

Catching Santa Claus

Jack thought, "I'm going to catch Santa
tonight." So he sneaked down stairs with
his torch and blanket. He lay on the sofa
waiting. Something woke jack up. Was it
Santa? No it was his golden pup Twix.
Great! Santa had been! Catching Santa
would wait until next Christmas Eve!

Lifesavers

As my brother and I rode our bikes around
the seafront we could see the ship was in
trouble. Its engine had stopped and they were
trying to get it going again. They were drifting
for the rocks. Luckily the lifeboat had seen
them and rescued them in time!

Megan's stormy surprise!

One stormy night, Megan was wakened
by a noise downstairs. She decided to
investigate.
She crept quietly out of her room and
along the dark, cold hall. Something
tapped her shoulder.
It's probably nothing….or a ghost, she
thought. Before she could do anything,
Bill jumped out and shouted Boo!

The Exciting Ride

Suddenly it is dark. Water is splashing my face.
There are butterflies in my tummy, this is so
exciting.
I turn sharply to the left and then to the right.
Oh no, I thing I'm going to land upside down.
Splash! 'Wow! That was a great water park
slide!
