Learning a Poem for Charity (NSPCC)

In P.4 we are learning a poem about The Three Little Pigs. The poem is based on the tale of The Three Little pigs. We will have to recite the poem to others in school as this is our sponsored event for 2005/2006. We hope to raise money for two charities. They are the N.S.P.C.C. (The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and Conservation Volunteers.

OUR CLASSROOM "GOLDEN RULES" We are gentle. We do not hurt anyone. We are kind and helpful. We do not hurt the feelings of other. We work hard. We do not waste our own or others' time. We look after property. We do not waste or damage things. We listen to people. We do not interrupt. We are honest We do not cover up the truth.

Making musical instruments

In Room 18 we designed and made our own musical instruments. We collected junk materials at home and brought them into school to create our own designs.

We can play them by plucking, blowing, shaking, tapping and scraping. We can produce different sounds and play together in our class orchestra.

Science Week

Our technology project was to make a moving vehicle from 1/2 cardboard roll, straws, matchsticks, 4 milk carton lids and masking tape.

We worked hard building these in class.

We tested our cars out on a cardboard launch ramp, set up at the Castle Centre.

Air Powered Cars

We are ready to test out our air powered cars in the assembly hall.

We need to pump the air into the cars.
