Many children in P6 have been reading these books this term with Mrs. Crowther and Mrs. McClean. They have titles like "Blazing Burgers" and "The Electric Sandwich" The children have really enjoyed them. Here are some of their comments. "The blurb on the back of the book gives you a snippet of what is going to happen in the story." "Each story isn't what you think might be going to happen" "The characters stay the same so it stops you getting muddled up." "Each book is about one or two characters from Wolf Hill." "There's a map that goes with the stories to show you where everything happens." "You can read a book in a week or the whole story at home in one night." "Each story is different." "I like the brightly coloured front covers." "We are learning new ways of working out new words." "The books are in levels so they get harder but not too fast." "Sometimes they find treasure or stop people committing a crime." "Reading is fun now." "Each story is different." "They made me a better reader." "They are really exciting." "They have chapters." "They are fun to read." "There's an adventure in every book." |
